Yes, both solvant based matt-finish paints, or acylics.

For solvant based gloss paints or previously oil or solvant filters treated areas, spray some acrylic matt paint or a thin coat of Crystal Lock 50% with water.

Si, sia colori acrilici che smalti o altro, meglio se opachi.

Per i colori lucidi a solvente, o modelli già trattati con olii e smalti, meglio coprire il modello con acrilico traspatrente opaco o Crystal Lock al 50% con acqua.

Both. Unless differently told into the specific technical shedule. Transparent filters are particularly appreciable with airbrush, they don't dry inside and are very flowing.

Entrambi. A meno che specificato diversamente nella scheda tecnica del prodotto. I filtri trasparenti sono particolarmente apprezzati ad aerografo, non intasano e sono perfettamente scorrevoli.

The following  is the finishing and weathering sequence with "solvant based" filters and pigments.  I've found this list on a high-level international Modellers Forum :

1) Acrylic camo paint
2) Acrylic clear gloss
3) Decals or dry transfers
4) Acrylic clear gloss
5) Overall oil washes
6) Acrylic clear flat
7) Oil panel washes (filters)
8) Oil pin washes
9) Oil drybrushing
10) Oil staining (dot method)
11) Chipping and scuffing
12) Pigments

This is instead  True Earth finishing and Weathering Sequence :

1. Paint flat with any paint you like
2. Decals or dry transfers with Crystal Lock Method
3. Acrylic clear flat just over decals
4. Filters
5. Chipping and scuffing
6. Dirt with Structured Powders and/or Dust Filters
7. Oil, grease, sooth, staining

 Isn't True Earth way a bit more faster, easier...?

Il metodo True Earth, non vi sembra più facile, veloce... ? 

I usually say "acrylics", to let everyone immediatly understand they are waterbased, but to say it all they are the most up-to-date formulas of "resin emulsions into a watery phase".

Li chiamo solitamente "acrilici", per far immediatamente capire che sono in base acqua. In effetti si tratta delle più aggiornate "sospensioni di resine in fase acquosa".

Transparent Filters have a pure formulation, without any particles. You can achieve smooth areas like oils, using water instead. Use them for

• overall filters to blend,fade, darken, shadow or lighten, or alter a paint
• selective washes around details, rivets, panel borders
• dots, leaks, strokes

Structured Filters leave an irregular or finely dotted finish, and are best suitable for worn out or rusted effects. Use them for

• washes overall to heavily altered effects
• selective washes and filters on limited worn out areas
• dots, leaks, strokes

 i Filtri Trasparenti hanno una formulazione pura, priva di residui. Potete ottenere facilmente effetti sfumati come colori ad olio, stendendoli sulle superfici appena inumidite con acqua. Utilizzateli per :

• filtri globali per armonizzare,sbiadire,scurire, ombreggiare, lumeggiare, o alterare i colori 
• lavaggi selettivi attorno ai dettagli, rivetti,pannelli
• macchie, colature

I Filtri Strutturati lasciano una finitura irregolare o puntinata, e sono dedicati agli effeti di usura più intensi ed alla ruggine. Utilizzateli per :

• lavaggi globali per effetti mollto alterati ed usurati
• lavaggi selettivi e filtri su aree limitate come singoli pannellli, parafanghi...
• macchie, colature irregolari, perdite

Use them like other solvant based filters, but sobstituting solvant with water. Remeber drying time is for a waterbased product. Something slower than an acryl paint, but always minutes.

Utilizzateli come i filtri a solvente, con acqua invece che con un diluente. Ricordatevi che il tempo di asciugatura è di pochi minuti. Poco più lenti di un colore acrilico.

That's True Earth exlusive heavy chipping technique.

It's useful to reproduce weared repainted items (p.e. dark grey german DAK tanks, repainted in sand yellow). Or heavily worn out objects, or to simulate oxide appearing under a heavily chipped paint .

Similar to the salt and laquer technique, but :

- much better controllable effect

- made with specifically formulated products Crystal Lock and Run Off Effect

- absolutely not aggressive on paints

- be able to apply specific filters both on the basic layer and on the second layer, still before chipping.

E' la esclusiva True Earth per la scrostatura profonda dei colori.

E' utile a riprodurre mezziI ridipinti o molto usurati. Ad esempio carri in grigio panzer ridipinti in giallo sabbia e scrostati. O mezzi molto usurati da cui la ruggine appare da sotto alla pittura scrostata.

Per intenderci è simile alla tecnica del sale, ma :

- un effetto molto più controllabile

- fatta con prodotti specificamente formulati Crystal Lock  e  Run Off Effect

- assolutamente non aggressivi sui modelli e sui colori

- è possibile appplicare filtri sia sulla base di colore, che sul colore ancora da scrostare.

Questo non è possibile con i filtri tradizionali, ma solo solo con True Earth ! Vedi il Tutorial
